Dear Colleague, There are many reasons why you, as someone involved in education and IT in NY/NJ/CT region, should be attending the Fourth Annual Ubiquitous Computing Conference on January 4 - 6, 2001.Instructional Technology has gone beyond PCs and laptops as the primary foci on teaching and learning. Ubiquitous Computing, known as the third wave of computing, integrates all aspects of information technology and creates a new and comprehensive communication environment. In their capacity as deans, CIOs, CFOs, faculty, and senior IT administrators, they will discuss the important trends ahead and share their stories with other institutions of differing size and Carnegie Classification which are planning for a ubiquitous environment on their campuses. Diana Oblinger, senior fellow and researcher at Educause, and professor of Kenan-Flagler School of Business, University of North Carolina, EDUCAUSE Senior Fellow is slated to be keynote speaker.
