Session Title: Oh No! I'm A Senior Manager! -- Abrupt Acceleration in Your Career and You Speaker: Ashley Dalle, Manager for Business and Career Services, Brooklyn Public Library Description: Oh No! I'm a Senior Manager! is an in-depth look at unconventional management tracks in libraries, and how to navigate change both internally within yourself, as well as externally in a professional setting. The presentation focuses on building trust amongst your team as a new element to an existing department, or those new to management, coalition building, conflict resolution, as well as institutional navigation. Attendees will learn about different promotional routes and how to position themselves for these opportunities when they can, as well as strategies around building and developing emotional intelligence and psychological safety at work. We go faster, alone, but we go further together.

Speaker Bio: Ashley Dalle is the Manager for Business and Career Services at Brooklyn Public Library. She is an urban library manager of 8+ years, specializing in accessible user experience at large public library systems, with a focus on project management to deliver large-scale initiatives and grant funded programming. She has previously held roles at New York Public Library, Jersey City Free Public Library, and Orange County Public Library in California.

This event is open for all. Membership is not required.
