Fall 2025: Creating Mini Assessments for User Experience Research
Monday, November 3, 2025 (2pm-3pm) via Zoom
You will receive a Zoom link in the confirmation email.
To create memorable and positive user experiences, we must create assessments that ask our users about their feelings, perceptions, and experiences as they interact with people, physical and virtual interfaces. These assessments may include usability studies, interviews, questionnaires, task completion exercises, reflective journaling, or conducting focus groups.
Our Fall 2025 virtual meeting will discuss how we can create succinct and "bite size" assessments to measure the details and specifics. Our users don't have the time to complete lengthy questionnaires or participate in an hour-long focus group.
We invite you to an informal meeting where we can talk about how to create mini assessments that address specific problems that a library faces. User experience research aims to solve problems by assessing our users to better understand their needs, expectations, and desires.
The fall 2025 meeting is open to ACRL/NY members only.
